Whilst customers are free to roll their own backups (e.g to another Brightbox or to an external service such as Amazon S3), many will prefer to have this important task managed by our experts.

Why Managed Backups?

Flexible Backup Schedule

The default backup schedule is a weekly full backup retained for 4 weeks, with incremental backups taken every day. Prefer your own schedule? e.g twice daily incremental, 6 month retention? No problem – just let us know.

Flexible restores

When you need files restoring, simply file a Helpdesk ticket with details of what you want restoring and to where. Files can be restored to their original location, to temporary directories or even to a new Brightbox.

Flexible file set

By default, everything is backed up, including all program files, but you can specify particular paths to include or exclude.

Local and offsite backup storage

Backups are initially made to local storage servers (ensuring speedy backups and restores), then encrypted and replicated offsite for additional peace-of-mind.

Pricing

Pricing for our fully managed backup service is £69 per month for the first 20GB of backup data stored and £5 per additional 10GB – to get started, login to your Brightbox account and choose Managed Backups from the “buy extras” page.
